I just bought a XG Silver Dragon Aluminum ATX Mid-Tower Case Case with Clear Side, Front USB, Firewire and Audio Ports and 500-Watt Power Supply. I saw it featured on www.cheap-computer-cases.8k.com I bought it through tigerdirect for $179. I have been waiting a long time to build a computer with a case that looks this good. :)

If anybody has any good suggestions I would love to hear them.. any tips you could pass from hard learned experience would be great :) THANX

Nice case, I prefer Lian Li.

Hmm, ground yourself first. Touch some metal or something so that you dont put static on your parts. Post pics too!

Good luck

Work on a non-conductive surface, such as wood or ceramic. Carpet attracts static, which could fry your parts. :)

Fist off you either need to remove the pic or host the pic yourself. the rules clearly state that posting a pic from a website like Tigerdirect is not allowed.

Personally I dont like cases like that, but alot of people do, there are alot of cases I do like that lot of others dont, it all comes down to personal taste. but when I seen that case and what you paid for it I wondered why it cost so much, I looked at the tiger Direct Site and also the one on www.newegg.com na dlooked at all the pics on newegg and still dont see why it costs so much. I see that it has some kind of display towards the bottom on the front, but no good pics of it.

However from the pics it looks like a fairly standard case layout and shouldn't requir any special assembly methods. if this is your first computer build then take your time, dont get frustrated if things dont work on first try, even veteran system builders dont get it right the first time everytime. When I feel I got everything together but before I plug it in I always look everything over, making sure theres no wires blocking fans, that nothing has come unplugged and that theres nothing loose rattling around that can short anything out. a loose screw getting caught under the motherboard can be fatal, so if you drop one make sure you locate it right away, Dont wait for later as you might forget.
Good Luck with your build!
