One of my networking teacher was talking about how we can make a ton of money in securing home and small business networks and computers. Apparently theres tutorials (some free some not) on sans.org and cert.org

I believe him, hes in his mid to late 50's, and hes been a computer nerd since pre-dos days. I was just wondering if anyone knows what he is talking about, and if you've checked it out.

Best guess?

Sans - top 20 list is a good first step in understanding how to secure systems.

As for ton of money? Not sure I'd agree with that, home users and many small businesses don't always understand the need for securing their systems. Hell, some people on this forum don't understand (or just don't agree with) the need to secure their systems.

Yeah those are some good sites. Securityfocus.com is another good one. On SANS I found the most useful data tends to be the practical papers which people did in order to get certified in various SANS certs. I think you can find them on http://www.giac.org.
