Hello Gang.
First: I'm familiar with the "Rampant Paranoia" sticky, and I've followed this forum's security recommendations for the most part.
My current AntiVirus: NOD32 (Deep heuristics) ---> strictly an antivirus.
I've been using TDS-3 for my trojan issues, but a few other programs have come to my attention:
Trojan Hunter
Ewido Security Suite (Currently trying this)
The Cleaner
A-Squared
BOClean
TDS-3 does have real-time protection, but it's a damned hog. I'm thinking a different program like Trojan Hunter might work a bit better.
Then I was thinking about using other protection like Worm Guard, but is this as much of a resource hog as TDS3 ? If so, I may as well go for an all-in-one solution which works almost as well (Maybe the Ewido security suite) ?
I can't imagine having wormguard, process guard, tds3, antivirus, firewall, spyware filters...all running at the same time. It's annoyingly taxing on the system.
Does anyone have recommendations for a real-time security solution (trojans, worms, spyware, anything except for virus) with the power of TDS-3 perhaps? I'm wondering if these other solutions can match DiamondCS...of course their tests show their own programs beating everything out there...
Any suggestions / discussion = great!
