Whats your take on this case? Look pretty good wrt Noise/Airflow ratio. Im just wondering if i will be able to fit any future hardware(vid card(like long FEMI) and SLI),taking into account the form factors do not change.

Hi Stone2k3,

I can't exactly tell you how the case is because you would just think I'd be trying to sell the case to you. I could however, inform you on the specs. The Sonata elite has one rear fan and one optional (included with the case) VGA fan. As for the size of the video cards, I would say no more than 10.5 inches depending on your 6-pin connector for your video card.

Regards,
Antec

EDIT: OK...Check newegg for more specs/pictures and the PRICE :). Ends 4/7

Antec Sonata Elite is a fine case, but I don't like it's airflow from the front. 1st off...I only buy Antec cases (all of my 5 builds in my life) Also...I do not like front panel doors!!!! I would sugguest this Antec Solo here from Amazon (Free Shipping)

I'm using this same extact case & it use to be called the Sonata Plus 550 because it came with the excellent Antec Neo550HE power supply (see signature below) Now it's called Antec Solo "Lifestyle" here:

Funny when you do a search under Antec website, it's still under the Sonata family. The front provides 2-92mm fans (must purchase yourself) & one 120mm rear fan (included) Good airflow, excellent sound absorbtion & classic Antec build quality! It's go for a few more bucks $89.99 w/ free shipping vs. New Egg's $69.99 (after rebate) for the Sonata Elite.

Good Luck!

I second the solo. Only downfall is you can't put long video cards in there. Otherwise, the cable management is great and it is SUPER silent, especially when you use the suspended HDD mounts.

Yes....Zaxour knows his stuff! You can fit a 11.2" video card in my case or under. I have a HIS 4870 @ 10.5" No problems! It's a fine case @ $89.99 shipped & it's so damn quiet! The hardrive set-up is awesome! It's a fairly good deal! Pass on he Sonata Elite for a few bucks less IMHO!

I went from a gigantic CM Cosmos 1000 to this case (had it sitting in the garage for a year or so, used it for an HTPC) and it's just night and day. The Cosmos had awful HDD resonance and the cable management was mediocre. My temps dropped as well.

The SOLO used to be called the P150 when it was white (instead of black) and had a power supply included,
I have had several of each version.
