I just ordered a new TrueBlue 480 watt that gave out on me a few days ago and then I saw the Antec Neopower which looks pretty cool. How does this rate witht he 480 TrueBlue? I really like hte idea of swapping out cables.

Just got it and installed it yesterday. Its quiet since its one 120mm fan regulates itself aswell as two other case fans if you choose. The cabling is awesome, I'm only using 3 of the 5 ports (one is for a the fan only line that regulates your case fans), so no extra cables to try and hide away. No exhaust fan though, so the hot air just kinda seeps out the back and is alot hotter if you put your hand back there than my old PSU. It has a charcoal finish and isn't that heavy. I'd recomend it.

The Neo is a much nicer supply, more expensive but it is more up-to-date in it's specs for today's systems.

Oh, almost forgot that Newegg has an instant $30 rebate on the Neo, and free shipping so it comes to ~$131 (CA tax).

So all the new power supplies will have aroudn the same specs as the Neo? I was just wondering why I'd never heard of it until now. Everyone else is still buying Truepowers and Enermax's fromt he sounds of it. Also it says it's good for PCI Express. Does PCI-E need a different power source or what?

Erm, well not really, just different connectors which the neo has. Pci express video cards need a 6 pin power connector which the neo has, no need for an adapter and its mainboard connector is 24 pin which next generation motherboards will use (there's an adapter for 20 pin standard atx). The Neo is a bit more suited for whats going to be coming out in the near future more so than other PSUs.

The OCZ Powerstream and the Enermax Noisetaker line are the only others off the top of my head that are compliant with the ATX 2.0 standard

I installed this PSU to a friend's rig, and it's one wicked PSU. I love the plug and unplugable power cords, it's clean and slick. The one and only one 120mm fan at the bottom of the PSU is crazy and seems to be enough, though I would have like a extra 80mm fan at the back, but that's just me.

And the PSU has removable MOXLEX and SATA connectors that snap off and snap on which is really really sweet. This is one PSU I would get on my next rig.

Are you sure about the OCZ? I can't find any info on dual +12V which is somewhat important for ATX12V2.0.

i have the enermax noisetaker, and it does have dual 12v lines, but it does not have a 24pin ATX connector.
