So far I like it overall but I think mine is runnnig a little hot. The CPU is usually 46c and the MB is around 41c. Are these reasonable temps for a AMD Athlon 64 3000(newcastle) and Asus K8V-SE Deluxe with a PNY 6800 NU?

What program should I use to check the harddrive temp.?

are you kidding, mb should be about 30C unles you are giving it a real go and sounds
like you just installed. have you cooked it in. did u apply thermal or what.

my fx53 runs 29C but cooks when really rollin ar about 50C with air only. board gets up
34C.

For HD temps I use Speedfan.

As far as your temps go, it depends on some things. Most notably your case and fan set up, and ambient temp. Also what your using to get those temps.

I used Artic Silver 5 and it's in a HOT room. Usually mid to high 70s. At full game load it runs around 51-52c.

I use the Raidmax Cobra case. Asus probe for temps.

Alright these are my current temps using probe. Let me know if this sounds average.

Idle:
45c CPU
41 MB

Load with BF2:
54c CPU
46c MB

Raidmax Cobra Case
Asus K8V-SE Deluxe
Athlon 64 3000(NEwcastle)
PNY 6800
1.5 GB OCZ
2 DVD drives and 2 HDD

I personally think it's running a little too HOT!

The 3000+ Newcastle Core (130 nm) is an 85 watt CPU.
It should idle at about 28 - 31C and MB in that vicinity also. if you can maintain 29C or better ambient temp in your PC. I would try to keep load to less than 54C on CPU otherwise you aren't going to get a very long life. Running at 40C you cut life in half and at 50 C in half again that gets you to about 6 to 9 months life of the CPU.
What is ambient temp of room and do you have good airflow in and out of the Chassis. What are you cooling CPU with?

Next, did you follow Artic 5 instructions about cleaning and applying new thermal material?
Next, did you run temp up and turn off computer about 5 times? Usually tahes a few days

I have NeoPower 480 in my big machine with a P4C800-e Deluxe and cpu is a P4 3.4EE
Gallatin with a furnace for a core at 135 Watts. When new it was not unusual for me to hit
65C and the thermal shutdown. Once I learned about the Artic site:
http://www.arcticsilver.com/arctic_silver_instructions.htm
and started using Zalman 7700cu HS w/120mm fan and keeping the PC cool did I get it under control. Have you had lockups or throttling action from CPU?
Read the forum section on OCing and cooling. These people have tons of expertise.
Work on your problem and don't be afraid to do it over if needed.

This is not likely to be caused by the Antec NeoPower. But as a hint I am up grading to PC power and cooling but mainly because of added power requirements of SLI + DFI Board and OCing.

well don't worry about the temps really... anything under 60 on laod should last you 2 years or so... my cousin pentium 4 and the fnaless computer with crappy stock HSF with stock fan that he bought years ago.... idles at like 50 or something and god who knows what it laods at.. and it is running strong for 3+ years..
