I just got me one and its great but the psu orientation confuses me

It has the risers for psu with enough space well like an inch.

Question, should I mount it with the fan facing down or up? Manual says up but many review sites have them facing down. What is your suggestion?

Mount the psu with atx connector closes to the motherboard for the best cable management.

post a pic of the risers. if yours is like the one i have i wouldn't be putting a standard psu with the fan facing down. if you starve the psu of fresh air it'll run hotter and shorten its lifespan.

yes that is true in most cases but the height of the intake doesn't really effect the psu temp by much.

I flipped mine for better cable management and its been working great. I dont think its being starved for air much if at all. I'll be putting my 650hx Corsair upside down when I get it from the egg Tuesday.

I mistakenly installed my power supply that way once, stayed that way for two weeks before i noticed. It really depends on what power supply you have.

I have a hx520 & I have the fan facing down.. Honestly I think there is enough gap due to the riser that it doesn't matter.. ultimately its getting air form inside the case regardless so..

Hi Kakrotxiv,

It really depends on your case and the length of the cable on your PSU. We personally recommend mounting the PSU with the fan facing up but it is totally up to you. Its more like a personal preference in a way, some people like to mount the PSU facing up and some like it facing down. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,
Antec
