• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

And an MSI 9800GTX+

Cliffs:
Small case
Core 2 Duo 3.16GHz
Aftermarket, but small HSF
DVD Burner
SSD 128GB
4GB GSkill RAM
nVidia 9800GTX+

I'm thinking 500Ws should be sufficient.

I agree with your assessment of 500w, while the system could probably run on less, it'd be better for the PSU to stay in the 50-80% load range or so which would put a 500-600w at the golden size.

I would say with that case size try to go Modular to help with cable management.
Happy Holidays!
