Another "Help me pick a case" thread :D

Hey there!

I'm in the hunt for a new case (Aerocool Masstige bye-bye) and i need some help to decide.

First of all, i'm not so keen on getting a inverted ATX case, because of the temperatures but i love the V1000

I would like to get a Lian-Li, but all of the midtowers seem... small. I like the PC-7 Plus, the PC-G7 and all that, but cable management in those cases must be terrifying.

The ideal case for me in terms of space/cable management is the Coolermaster CM-690, but i didn't want to buy another metal case.

Oh, and Silverstones are way too big.

So, what do you suggest? should i stick with a PC-7/PC-G7 or alike? Or is the CM-690 alright?

Personally, I love my PC-7B. Plenty of room for all my stuff and not hard to cable manage imo.

PC-A16A (also in black) or PC-A17A (also in black) are both nice cases.

P180/P180B/P182? Heavy, but a great case. I'm selling mine as I'm switching to dual water loops, but there's plenty of space in there for most and they're very quiet with good airflow.

I dunno, I find my P180 very cramped given its weight and size, and I'm not running anything other than air cooling. Was very hard to manage my cables in this case.

Personally i dislike those Antecs because of the organization of the space inside.

I like those too, but that's the problem... All Lian-Li's have the same configuration/space, and they seem so small... i have a 8800GTS 512MB and i'm afraid there won't be much room for it, because of the drive cage..

Big dilema.. i don't want a big tower, but those Lian-Li's seem so small and the material so cramped inside

I take it you've got the older revision? Because if there's anything this case excels at aside from quiet it's cable management.

you can always make additional holes for cable management... I plan to add a 4x sata hotswap bay in the lower front section of my P180. By default, it's a little cramped, but taking out the upper (2 only) HD bay and lower 120mm fan in front of the power supply really opens up cable routing and space to move.

Yep I have the original P180. The newer ones look a bit better from a cable management standpoint, but they are still way too cramped for my liking around the mobo area. I like lots of space to work.

My other pet peeve is out there is pretty much zero room between the bottom expansion slot and the big metal PSU area divider. My X-Fi almost has capacitors sitting on the metal.

I have at least 2" of clearance from my bottom expansion slot to the PSU divider, but that's the advantage of a mATX motherboard.

And what about inverted ATX? My Masstige is inverted ATX, but i've seen the market go back to standard ATX.. i'm quite of a fan of the V1000, but i'm not sure..
