Sorry for making another post like this, but I can't find the exact information I'm searching for and am lacking imagination at the moment.

I'm trying to figure out how to cool a stacker 830 without taking the front bays away. I have two hard drives, two optical drives, and a fan controller so I really do need the front bays. I know it is picky, but I want to retain the clean look of the 830.

I wanted to do a radiator on the bottom, but some people are saying I won't get good temps from that.

My system is:

Core 2 QX6700
Gigabyte DS3
EVGA 7800GT
Corsiar 620HX

For now I'm just going to cool the cpu as I'm waiting for the 8800 to go down in price a little. First time with liquid want to do it right. Plus the stupid Antec 900 with zalman coolers I have right now is horrendously loud.

thanks

edit: forgot to ask for product recommendations

Well, the main problem that I forsee with having a bottom mounted radiator, would be the clearance at the bottom.

If you increase the space between the bottom of the case, and the desk/floor... IE with larger case feet, you'll get a better temperature.

As for products...

DD TDX or the Swiftech Storm do a great job for a CPU block.
The DD D5 or Swiftech MCP655 are great water pumps for their price.
BIP 120.3 or their new GTX radiators are both really good choices.

rear radbox mounted 2x120 ? I've even seen a rear radbox mounted 3x120... (I think it was a p180, but a radbox is pretty much the only way to wc a p180 anyway)

edit: or just get some of those bolt on case wheels. that should give you a couple inches of clearance, plenty of room for the fans to pull through

Thanks guys. I'm probably going to do lockable casters to raise the case up. I really want to keep it clean because of the paintjob I want to do.

Do you guys think my power supply will have enough juice even after the 8800 gts?

With a single 8800 your psu should be fine. If you go SLI you'd have to start shopping for a new one.

Personally, I really dislike the Radbox (which kills me because I need to use a similar setup for my current WC system, luckily just a 120mm rad out the back).

Yeah, casters... of at least an inch should really help. You'll have to clean out your rad a bit more too, being closest to the floor.

So I ended up changing my mind on cases and went with the silverstone TJ07. Hoping to do something like this guy.
I'm thinking of going with the BIP as opposed to the GTX for price and the Fact that DD doesn't have the GTX in stock.

Also I have some Yate Loons around that I love. Will the BIP work well with them? I keep seeing conflicting posts about high pressure needs of different radiators.

Thanks

I used to run 2 12v yate loons on my BIP240, and recently switched to 4x 7v Yates.

I lowered my 24hr load temps by almost 25% in a warm room.

Alot quieter too!

Newer temperatures for my CPU in sig are about 43 Load.

Do you think I could get away with just 3 7v's, without having to do a push pull design?
