anyone else have a jittery mx700? i tried everything, device manager settings, reposition receiver, smash it against a wall :mad: . it is the most annoying thing in fps when in critical situations ur mouse starts pointing at all sorts of directions....i think it may have something to do with my desk since it is made of metal...or maybe just my mouse pad....anyone came across this problem and solve it? besides geting a cordless

my optical had lint trapped inside the laser opening, which caused some random jitteryness. i had to blow it out.
 
Yup. lint, or in my case a hair will most definitely make a mouse jittery. Mouse pad can also create a problem. Check/try both.
 
my room mate was using a stock dell mouse pad with that mouse, and his was doing exactly what you are talking about. he tried my func pad and it worked fine. next day he bought one and has not had any problems since then

i had that problem with mine also, got a new desk so i borrowed a dell mousepad, and it jumped all over the place, go a new mousepad and it went away

On mine, it turned out to be that the rechargeable batteries were going bad. It would charge but have that effect. Getting new batteries solved it for me.
 
yeah i placed new batteries on it. everytime i try some kind of way to fix it, it only works temporarily...like it sorta "acts" up. what's annoying is when u flank 10 guys in an fps and throw the grenade in the wrong direction cuz of it and then getting shot....im waiting for the mx3100, hopefully it will solve my problems along with a new pad
