After I ran BURNP6.EXE now whenever I close a program that stresses the CPU IE. Prime 95, or United Devices, my computer beeps, I have yet to actually find where it beeps from though. Any clues?

It's in my sig, but It's an NF7-s, I accidently ran the wrong program, I meant to run burnk7 not p6

Google around for an answer. It might be a common problem to the NFS7.

Also, check sites like the amdmb forums, being as they have an Abit forum which might have answers for what you're looking for.

Best of luck man.

Where are your temps at after these programs? I had a friend that had an IC7-G that would beep when it got warm. He adjusted the temp alert setting in the BIOS and it went away.

The NF7-S and THe IC7 boards beep when the Temprature gets to high. I set mine off all the time with O/C'd Video card and CPU on too small of a radiator.

I've run into the same problem, but I know what causes my beeping.

I've found that if I intentionally install the wrong BIOS, this beeping happens in the same manner you described (Sandra in peticular would set it off). Try looking around for the proper BIOS for your board.

Also, many manufacturers make similiar boards, name them similarly, BUT assign them different BIOS'. For example, for the i865PE chipset, Gigabyte sells:
8iPE1000
8iPE1000 Rev. 2
8iPE1000 Pro
8iPE1000 Pro Rev. 2
8iPE1000 Pro2
8iPE1000 Pro2-W
8iPE1000 Pro3

Confusing? Hell ya! Seven mobos from one chipset and they all use a different BIOS. Don't trust retailers either. My board was advertised as the "8iPE1000 Rev.2" model, but what I ended up getting was the "8iPE1000 Pro Rev.2". Imange my surprise when I tried to flash to the newest (non-Pro) BIOS only to get beeped at. Find the serial number on the board, usually by the CPU socket, e-mail Abit and get the exact model name and BIOS.

It just started happening it's not a normal siren, it's weird, it's not any hotter
