An Important Update about Riot’s Future

I agree. I don't care a single ounce about the game. The show was great, though. Did you finish it? The ending could have been better, but I'm afraid there won't be another animated show like this in a long time. It was quite amazing. Blue Eye Samurai is also quite intriguing.
 
Here’s the deal, a crapload of DEI funding has been pulled, investors are backing out of many projects that were leaning into identity politics and other such categories considered “woke”.
Lots of game studios were using those DEI funding initiatives to pay for projects, under the agreements that they delivered and focused on specific messages.
Riot Games was dipping into a lot of that funding, they doubled down on it in September, but I’m thinking somebody who was in charge of the money took a walk through the studio said nope and took their wallet with them.
Now Riot needs to “refocus” and “focus on gameplay that will excite our audience”, and other such positive sounding phrases.

The short version? S2 was a shitshow. By the time I got to ACT 3 I was laughing out loud in frustration. I don't believe S2 was written by the same people as S1, it is impossible.

I liked season 2, but it felt like they jammed two seasons into 1 season. It was incredibly rushed. Season 1 was a masterpiece.

Blue Eye Samurai is incredible!!!! Arcane has been a fun watch (still haven't finished the last 3 episode), but I am blown away that the 18 episodes apparently cost 250 million to make lol
