Hi, how the hell do you install OPEN CL Drivers for AMD? its not clear to me,

Please can somebody send me the absolute direct link to the .msi or .exe file because im going nuts here.

I absolutely cant stand the AMD website, but i need to learn to love it somehow.

It is part of the regular drivers. I am not completely up to the latest driver but mine shows OpenCL version 22.19.162.4.

You could check Guru3D they tend to have some driver parts extracted for those that just want part.

i have checked that site and a few but still not sure about this opencl nonsense.
nvidia was never this complicated, but i am trying to get to terms with amd.
there is an amd sdk app download which is like 3 megs big and then there is an older version which is much larger say 300 megs, i dont really get this.

Just download the driver package for your card, OpenCL support is in the driver, what's complicated about that?

Well if the OPENCL driver is installed with the driver then that is terrific.
I always do a custom install and only select the AMD Driver or the Display driver.... i hope tihs is fine?
I dont do the whole keep up to date option and software install and what not.
I just choose Display Driver only, is this okay ?

If you're worried about bloat, just download and install the AMD Minimal Setup . That package gives you the driver, OpenCL and OpenGL etc.. plus the driver.

On a custom install you can choose not to install all the support for those API's so I have no idea what you're doing.

Also, use DDU and clean your existing drivers off first.

Thanks...
DDU or AMDCLEANUPUTILITY is what i use for fresh install
I dont think i understand where or how to get, or get-to - > AMD Minimal Setup ?

If you use the driver selection function on AMD"s website it will give that as an option to download instead of the full driver suite.

yup what he said but also install the crimson software in addition to the display driver. I always skip the audio as I don use it. and I don't bother with ddu unless I have a problem. the new drivers will install over top the old just fine.
