Does the AMD dual graphics logo always appear in games using crossfire?
I have an A10--7870 with an R7 250 external card. I get the dual graphics logo in Unigine benchmarks, Bioshock series, Metro last light, I don't see it in Duex x human revolution or Borderlands 2. Afterburner shows 66 percent usage on Gpu1 and 90 percent on Gpu2 on those that show the logo, but only about 10 percent on Gpu1 and 90 to 100 percent on Gpu2 on the games that don't, I checked the profiles in Crimson 16.1 and they look okay. Also read that Dx9 doe not support crossfire. Any tricks I need to know?

What you're doing isn't really "Crossfire" as such, and therefore is going to be supported by fewer titles than "proper" Crossfire (matched GPUs, 2 or more).
 
It's hit & miss. It is real Crossfire, as Crossfire does not need the same GPU speed to function, just same GPU cores. But at the same time the APU is greatly affected by your system RAM speed. This can actually slow down some less well coded game performance because of heavy access to system RAM which is not DDR5 for the APU. HBM should fix that in the future.

All that to say, do some testing, some games may work better just on the dedicated GPU, other will still benefit from both. Don't typically expect 80%+ usage on both however.

lol, I have no idea what you are talking about logo wise :D. Cross fired over a year. Maybe I just ignore logos or something.
 
I get the little square logo in the upper right corner of the screen IT says AMD dual Graphics Technology but only when the crossfire is working...
 
So let me see if I understand? You are wondering why it works better in games that show they support it than in games that don't? I think that would be pretty easy to understand.
 
No if the logo doesn't display then no crossfire in that game. However some games appear not to work, change a few settings make sure game is in direct X 11. Then the crossfire kicks in. That happened in the Witcher 3. I also run after burner which tells me that both Gpus are working. So far I have seen roughly 60 percent increase In crossfire supported games. I did know that if the game does not support crossfire only the external R7-250 card will be used.
