I have a lg 245wp display (1920x1200 24 inch panel) The only digital input on the screen is a hdmi.
I've been using it as a secondary screen, connected with dvi -> hdmi cable. Its worked find up to 14.7 driver. Now, if i set 1920x1200, the signal is only 1080p (at least the osd of the screen reporting) And the image is all wrong. (burned colors, wrong position) (screenshot looks okay, but the picture on the monitor is bad)

Things I tried without success:
fiddle with digital flat panel controls in driver.
Fiddle with osd and input settings on the monitor.
hdmi cable. (in that case, i cant even set the resolution to 1920x1200)
using an dvi to vga adapter, and vga input on the screen. (that fixed the problem with image, but it was blury cause of the vga conversion)
Reverting the older driver: 14.7-RC3-Aug12(that also works, but now i'm locked to this version)

Specs:
sapphire 280x (stock clocks)
i5 2500 (also stock clock)
gigabyte motherboard + 8gb ram.
Cm 700watt psu

You can try the custom resolution utility by ToastyX, and run reset-all.exe, then run the Display Driver Utility (DDU) from the guru3d forums, then restart the computer, reinstall driver and see if that works.

There's also an experimental driver restarter on toastyx's CRU page that may be handy.

Where are you trying to set the resolution? in CCC or Windows Properties?

Both, doesn't matter, I can set resolution to 1920x1200, If i make a screenshot it will be at 1920x1200. But the monitor's osd tell tell me its only 1920x1080, also picture looks screwed.

After several day of trying, I still could not figure out whats the problem. One thing for sure: after 14.7 driver, something changed that cause major hdmi incompatibility with some monitors. I also tried to uninstall amd's audio driver, did not helped.
The only solution i found, I bought a passive display port to dvi converter, and used display port instead of dvi. Tho, now the screen blinks a few times in every hour.
