Can't decide if I should go with the 6970 or 570, performance seems to be about the same. Are the AMD Catalyst and nVidia Detonator drivers about the same now in terms of support and no bugs?

If you have an AMD motherboard, go with the 6970 so you'll be able to crossfire in the future.

Also, if you plan to use surround gaming, go 6970.

If you're planning on trying out 3d, get a 570.

A friend of mine has a 6970 and the drivers for it seem to work great.

Bugs will exist. I got a bad one for the witcher 2 in crossfire. But there is a fix in the works. I can still play the game, but with some advance detail disabled.

Overall AMD/Nvidia is on par. I don't see any real difference as it comes to drivers. Go with what your heart tells you.

about the same... I have a 570 my younger brother has a 6970.. We both have 24" ,monitors and about the same builds otherwise.. I cant see a real diff... I am however planning on going 3d and as mentioned above go with the nvidia if thats in ur future
