Anyone have any updates on this card performing well? Read a ton of reviews and most are hit and miss....

At it's worst it should perform no worse than a 5850. At it's best, it can perform almost twice as well. Just depends on the game and how well it scales with crossfire. That said, I would not spend that kind of money on a card to take that chance, especially with the 6000 series right around the corner which are very nice/powerful cards if we're to believe the leaked benchmarks so far.

Seconded. 6xxx is way too close to be dropping that kind of coin.

Great video card. Every game works flawlessly! No BSOD, no GSOD no lockups it just works. The only issue that I distincly remeber is the long loading time for bad company 2, but that was corrected with an application/driver update. I couldnt be any happies with my second ATI purchase (first being a 9800 XT).

Now if you want to purchase one right now, that would be a waste of money. The new 6xxx is abou to surface soon. Save you pennies for that :)

5970 was the best video card hardware available when it launched. It's still the fastest single video card out there. But with the 6000 series coming as soon as October, it's a good time to play the waiting game.
