So the heater went out in my house this past week and temperatures in my room with the computer went down to the high 40's (Fahrenheit) and low 50's. Temperatures on my q6600 w/ Zalman 9700cnps dropped about 10*C for the past couple of days.

Now, the heat is back on, room temp is about 68*F and temps are ranging back into the high 30's.

Interesting that the change from 50*F to 68*F = 10*C to 20*C for a change of 10*C. Which was the roughly the same change in the core temps...I didn't expect the core temps to correlate exactly with the change in ambient room temperatures.

you can measure heat sink capability by temperature delta, difference between ambient and core. Stands to reason that it's a linear relationship. :D
