hey I need some help im building a new comp and i was wondering do you need a SLI or something diff for a am2 mobo?

SLI is just for if you are going to be using 2 video cards...in SLI mode.

There are no PSU's for AMD or for Intel. There's ATX12V, which is what you want if you're using any Athlon64 or Pentium4.

An "SLI ready" PSU just means it has two PCI-e connectors and has ample juice on the 12(s)

I've found the AM2 actually take less power, so I wouldn't worry too much about it if all you're doing is upgrading the board, CPU and RAM to suit an AM2 platform.
