Okay.. so, I decided I'd try a amd solution, but I'm way out of date on what I should get. I think I'm going for the black box 5000+ x2 brisbane, and would like to overclock it quite a bit. Need suggestions on a good motherboard, and a good cooling (air) solution.
Ram will probably be some cheap-o ddr2 sticks, 2x1g or maybe 2x2g. Dunno yet.
I'd like to keep the motherboard under $100, but overclocking and stability are a must. Other things are I'd prefer ATX for 2-3 pci slots, x16 pci-e, gigE, preferably 2 ethernet ports. Must at least have a serial port header.
I'd ideally like it to also support a Phenom if I ever go that upgrade route, but that is not a deal killer.
