Is there such a thing? I like the looks of an all steel case (ie no plastic front bezel) and dont want aluminum. Its hard to tell from google if a lot of these cases advertised as ALL STEEL are actually just that. Has anyone had any experience, or know of a manufacturer of them?

why would you want it to be all steel? why not brushed aluminum, or polished aluminum? steel weighs way too much, if your planning to take it to lan parties then definatly go with aluminum

All-metal construction just seems higher-quality than if the plastic on most bezels. You could also look at it as steel is more suitable for LAN parties because it can take the bumps and scratches much better than aluminum. Steel weighs too much? I guess you should start pumping some iron, because no steel case, at least a mid-tower, is terribly heavy.

there is the thermaltake xaser series. i have one....

ya ya no one likes them.

Even something as "light" as 30 pounds coupled with its large size makes it damn annoying to move around a lot.

I have several all steel 4U rack cases that are way too heavy. They *can* be because nobody ever picks them up after installation...allegedly...I've had to pick up the 1.6mm steel supermicro cases more times than I care to talk about, and it sucks every time.

I have a nice antec aluminum rackmount case that is a breeze to move around, on the times that i have to re-rack the boxes.

Aluminum is better than steel at many things...IMO, the only things that steel does better is noise dampening and tensile strength.
