I am having a hard time getting my system to boot off of my SATA drive when any IDE disks are installed. I search the BIOS for setup options but haven't been able to locate anything I see relevant. When alone, the SATA drive works flawlessly. However, when you hook up an IDE drive, it boots off of it regardless of its configuration. Not only that, but you can no longer see the SATA drive in windows. Any ideas?

from what Ive heard that varies from BIOS to BIOS

try setting the boot order to SATA or SCSI
look for a Bus Manager option or similar
just go through the menu option by option like Hansel and Gretel

No option for sata in boot order. I will look for the bus manager option however. Thanks.
