I just got a retail AIW 9800pro and after installing it, I'm still getting checkedboaring and bad things all over.(although I may be able to cheat at UT2k4 since I can see through walls) I removed all the old drivers and whatnot using driver cleaner and installed the newest drivers. I've actually had a hard time finding anyone else having problems, should I get ready to play the RMA game?

System:
is7-g
p4 2.8
512MB pc3200
450W PS
win xp sp1

Checkerboards are indicative of either an improperly seated heatsink or a bad chip. RMA that thing and a get a new one.

there was a thread just like this yesterday. the guy fixed it by removing the heatsink and adding arctic silver 5 then reseating the heatsink back on.

sending it back is what normal people would do, this is [H]ardOCP, where there is nothing a dremel and a little arctic silver can't fix :D

well, the last card I RMA'd, I had removed the heatsink and didn't get in trouble, so I imagine I'll be ok if I try...maybe
