AGP VDDQ voltage?

Okay, so my video card is a Gainward 6800gt Golden Sample ... i'ts warrantied to run at 400/1100. I've already voided my warranty by water cooling it.

so... should i up the voltage from 1.5 to 1.6, to try and increase the optimal overclock using coolbits ?

Have never read anything about AGP VDDQ voltage specifically before, hence the question :)

I am using the AGP bus lock(or whatever it's called) @ 66.6/33.3 at the moment, too.

AGP voltage - is the voltage supplied to your AGP card. Raising the voltage to anything above stock (1.5v) is not recommended. This voltage will not help you overclock your GPU further. It will only enable you to increase the AGP bus, which in most cases, doesn’t increase performance by more than a very small fraction. Increasing this voltage for an extended period of time can cause damage to your video card.

:confused: I believe if you change the agp vdd in your bios it has no effect on your cpu voltage (of vidcard) .It increases the potential voltage output to your vidcard.
You have to up the vdd of your card by flashing, or some other way. :confused:

Expl. AGP VDDQ = 1.6V but Vcore GPU = 1.5V

like most cards are set at 1.3V GPU , but in the bios it's set at 1.5V default.(potential)

So if you want to apply higer voltage you'll have to increase them both.

But just try it for a short time, just long enough to run some tests. ;)

VDDQ? Isn't VDDQ the acronym for the termination voltage in RAM? Im sure it is. And im sure that raising the VDDQ is required to raise the VDIMM/VCORE voltage to ensure that the electrical signal sent is properly terminated on the IC so that the next signal can be sent without resistance or interference from other signals. Err....someone should tell me if I'm right, moderately close, or so far off it's just not funny.
 
VTT is usually used to represent a memory termination voltage in my experience. I have also seen VDDQ used, however.

I highly recommend NOT overclocking the AGP bus voltage. You will almost certainly get no benefit and may in fact hinder maximum AGP transfer mode. There is pMOS and nMOS compensation resistor networks on the motherboard which are carefully tuned for VDDQ = 1.5v
