after reformat, win2k cannot detect raid controller

i just reformatted the 60gb hdd in my system in the sig. however, in order to reformat, i had to pull my 60gb hdd off of the highpoint raid controller, which i was using as a plain ide controller, and put it on the via onboard ide controller. my setup before the reformat was as follows, with all drives being set as masters on their respective channels:
onboard ide 0: pioneer dvd
onboard ide 1: lg cdrw
highpoint channel 0: maxtor 60gb
highpoint channel 1: maxtor 200gb

in order for win2k's install program to reformat my 60gb, i had to set it up so it was on my onboard ide controller. the setup i used was as follows:
onboard ide 0: maxtor 60gb
onboard ide 1: pioneer dvd
highpoint channel 0: n/a (no drive connected)
highpoint channel 1: n/a (no drive connected)

now that win2k is installed, i cannot install the drivers for my highpoint raid controller and it doesn't shop up under device manager. i tried to install the drivers via the add/remove hardware wizard, and i tried to right-click and install the driver via the .inf file for the highpoint controller. how can i get my raid controller to be recognized by windows so i can get my data off of my 200gb? i would appreciate the assistance ASAP, since i'm moving to my dorm tomorrow and i need this box running right tonight.

Look in "unknown devices" and delete the yellow ??

update: there was some dust camping on some pins for where the raid setup would have a jumper... clean off the dust and boot up, and it works. something must've shorted, methinks. thank you for the help!
