aerogate 2 sys shutdown problem

i just got an aerogate 2 temp and fan controler and when i hooked everything up my computer comes on for a second then shuts down and i have to pull the plug to get it to reset. i dont know if its the controler or what. i have an asus a7v600 mobo with an amd xp2800 barton and a 250 watt power supply. has anyone had this problem?
 
ur power supply sounds a little low wattage but i dont think thats a problem. ur not running a shuttle or anything are you? try running your computer without the fan controller. if it works try and carefully install the controller again and see what happens.
