http://www.creativemods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=424 is some crappy pix of my case. Any recommendations to make it look spiffier? Looks sorta plain. Im cutting a hole in the front door to stick a fan grill there with a 4" red cathode behind it. I need suggestions to fill up all that blank space tho. Decals, stickers, designs anything just lemme know im open for suggestions

Oh yes i would like a theme that would include both red and blue. I am stickign some red cathodes in there and anything that i stick on (aka designs or decals) i want them to be red. But im flexible and open to ideas thanks

perhaps some custom vinyl on the window? if you paint the black parts of the front red and get the vinyl in red and then obviously clean out those damn wires with proper ribbonwork, it would be good. a top window with a CD window mod perhaps?

k now PIF me the money in the big coke bottle.

now, i got about 30-40 bux to spend so any mods like that, any ideas for the windows?
 
i think hard wired's idea would look really nice... and you should definately clean up those wires
 
How about a duct in the front of the case? Maybe a wind-tunnel setup? I've always been a fan of those... Ohh, and clean up those wires!

I suggest putting LED and/or cold cathode lights in the bottom.

(maybe add some taller "feet" to the bottom)

Please excuse me but what exactly is vinyl? I prolly have seen it but cant match word with item?

EDIT: im going to definately do the top window, that was a good idea.... also ganna do a cut on the front swing door which hides the drives and stick a fan grill on it with a 4" cold cathode behind it.... (and yes my wires are clean that picture is just old [for the 5000th time])

EDIT: Also, how would i go about cutting a hole for the fan when i stick the window up top? I have never done a cut before so im a bit wary but i guess theres a first time for everything. A finger at the direction of a online tutorial or something is definately helpful. thanks
 
You should paint the casings of the PSU and optical drives.


Then clean up the wires while you are in there.

Also how would i go about cutting a hole into the glass that comes in the window kits? I am half afraid ima shatter the thing. Also should i take out all the parts in my PC b4 i cut the window on top? thats all thanks

EDIT: how much do dremels cost? i dont have one :(
 
For vinyl, I go to a local auto store that does decals for cars. Just bring them the design on CD and they'll print it for ya.

Cutting through plexi is super easy, if you're nervous about it just be like anything else and take your time. A Dremel goes through plexi like a hot knife through butter... literally. The plexi melts. :p

For safety & simplicity, ya should take out all your components first. I've done it before where a friend held a shop vac on the inside to suck in all the metal bits, but I was in a hurry and it was a little more dangerous than I usually like to get with my comp.

Depending on which kit you get, where you buy it from, etc. a Dremel will range from $50-$100.
 
i'd def have to say go with the vinyl.....top blowhole/fan or window would be nice too........take out ur comp parts first (don't wanna go shorting anything out:eek: )...........and people do read the posts.........but sometimes it seems as if they don't

oh yea...........clean up those wires while ur at it:D

chances that an auto decal place will charge you <$10 for the vinyl: 0%
I've done lots of biz with Terry (I think) at ShatteredWeb and his prices are amazing. for both pieces for mine, I paid $7. I emailed him my Adobe Illustrator art and he had it to me in like 2 days!
 
I think i will go get some vinyl. Also where can i get some decals online if anywhere? The closest shop is about 35 min drive from my house. I will go get some but where can i find any decals or anything online. Any good sites (doesnt have to be vinyl)?
