Advice regarding thermal paste

I just bought a new CPU and a CPU cooler, had a quick question. The cooler (an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2) says it has thermal paste applied to it already, so I was wondering, should I still apply thermal paste to the CPU as well, or is the paste on the cooler enough by itself?

Do not apply anymore paste. What comes on the cooler is what you use and nothing more. If you use too much paste it acts as in insulator.

As mentioned, its there to make your life easier. Just install and enjoy.

I always remove the pre-applied paste and install Noctua NT-H1 Thermal Compound. Tests show it is one of the best at heat transfer. I'm pretty sure [H] has recommended it in the past as well!
