I'm looking at getting a new monitor for pc/ xbox 360 use. Currently I have my pc and 360 hooked up to my 2 yr old Sony 42" rp lcd, but I want to set the stuff up on a desk, I'm more comfortable sitting close in a chair. I was looking at some of the 22" lcd's, specifically the sceptre, the benq, and the acer. My qusetion is will the 360 look as good and with the 1680x1050 resolution, with the vga cables what is the best resolution to run the 360. I read on IGN they tested a 20" benq widescreen and they set it 1280x1024 widescreen and said it looked good. I know the 1080p update is out, so i'd consider something that would accept that, but I heard there were problems with monitors and 1080p and I'm trying to stay under $400.00. Thanks.

I've still have my 2007FPW (friend was going to buy but backed out) and I also have a 360 on the way in the next few days. I plan to use a vga adapter as people have said this works well with the 360. If you don't mind anti-glare coatings I highly recommend the Dell at current sale prices + 20% off coupon.

edit- For those looking for a great deal on the 360...go to Overstock.com and use the $40 off $400 coupon....just add anything not in the "movies, music, books, games category to get the discount. I scored a Xbox 360 platinum and logitech gaming headphones for $374 shipped.

I thought I had read the 20% off coupons were off regular prices not sale prices, if you can use the 20% coupon (i'm assuming ebay) then that would be a good deal.

The regular price is already much lower than it was not long ago...the 20% takes the place of the 15%....you should be able to score for under $350 (assuming free shipping) even if you are taxed in your state.

Darn, now the E207WFP says 1-2 weeks shipping. If I were to go with the dell, what would the best resolution to use the 360 at? Also, would any of the 22" models I mentioned be comparable?
