Advice on Intel Build

Hello all. Ive always had AMD/ATI systems, but with my next build, which im doing this week, I have decided to make the move over to intel.
Now being as the entire intel platform is unfamiliar to me, I had a couple questions that hopefully some could answer for me.

I am thinking I will go with the E8400, and would like to OC it. That or the Q6600, but being as I do little video encoding etc, im not sure it would benifit me much :-/ Most of my time is spent gaming ..

As for the MOBO, Im a bit confused. I have been looking at the P35 chipset, and 2 different ones.

The biggest difference,other than the DFI is $50 more, I see is the 4pin connector VS a 8pin ...
Which Would actually be the better MOBO, and advantages to each?

My second question is about Memory. I have Corsair XMS memory now. 667 speed @ 4-4-4-12 rating 1.9V. But I have 4 sticks of them at 1GB each.

If I go with the E8400, I would likely shoot for about a 3.5 or 3.6 OC. Would this memory work for that or what kind of OC can I expect? I do plan on upgrading the RAM in a few weeks, but for the moment, hoping I can stick with what I have.

Also, Running Vista 64, with the ATI 3870 512MB GPU. Any advice on this new build would be greatly appreciated .... Was thinking also may get the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro for cooling.

ive had both so im not biast.... the DFI takes the edge for me though, you will be happy with either board but id get the DFI if you have the extra $.. it overclocked a bit better for me.
