Advice on flash drive

The title says it all and I'm wondering if there any distinct differences in quality as far as brand names go. Considering I don't have a printer and I have to transfer things quite often, I feel the need to invest in a flash drive. I'm not looking for something top of the line, just something that won't become easily corrupted and lose precious files in transit to another USB port that would be used.

Anyone have any brand name or model recommendations that they personally use? The key here is personal use.

I would get one from a major brand...not some unknown brand. I have a Cruzer Mini 256 from Sandisk, and it works very well.

Well, I've been looking at an A-Data from Target for only $20. Does this brand have a good track record with their products? List some major brands then, 'cause I just am not an avid sleuth when it comes to flash drives and jump drives.
