So I'm looking for a video card but don't know which one to get. Here's what my build so far and what I'm looking to do.
core 2 duo E8400 @ 3Ghz
4GB gskill ddr2 800
Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L mobo
Win 7 RC1 64bit
I'm using the onboard video right now and I can play 1080p videos fine (sometimes choppy when running a lot of programs) so I want to get a video card that will solve that. Also, I plan on doing some 3d modeling (Algor, Mimics, Abaqus, etc.) as well as some video editing (sony vegas). I don't plan on gaming a whole lot. Definitely not the extremely graphics intensive games that have been coming out, just some old school stuff.
I've been out of the pc market for a couple of years and so I've been completely thrown off on what's good. I also don't know which ones will be compatible with my build and what not. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could recommend me a video card that's fairly inexpensive (less than 60ish) that could help me out in doing the above.
