I am building a file server with a buttload of drives in it. something like 12 when I am done. I want to keep the cables clean so I am thinking of rewiring a power supply. something like PS-RagE has going on...

I will be using an Enermax Noisetaker 425 watt for now. I t powers it fine right now, even with the large startup draw. I will be upgrading to a beefier supply at some point, but this one works, so I am not shaking the tree too much. basically I understand what needs to be done, I just want to know if there are any special considerations I need to think about.

You could use a hot swap cage, my 4-in-3 has 2 SATA power connectors for all 4 drives which eased up wiring a lot for me. You could always use Y molex connectors or 2 SATA to 1 molex connectors. What rage did I believe was completely custom, so if you feel comfortable you could always do something similar.
