Its damn hard when you put in two new quads yesterday, both at 3.6Ghz and the stanfords site craps out... You don't know if your farm is dead or the points are just lag'n... Seeing as the team got like 7k points from the last update I'm guessing its lag... but really points to the need for remote monitoring for me. I got to figure that out somehow.


Also anyone else missing WU's from the last couple dayts? I have been averag'n 26-28 turn ins per day and the last two days total only 48, that means 4-8 missing WU's... :(


 
Frustrating:( I have been getting a lot of flaky WUs
Last 24 hrs a bunch of 2605 WU giving me fatal errors
on 3 different boxen, argggghhh
 
I've got 37k points yesterday so my stats caught the delay for me.

 
Is there a monitoring package out there that can track when a particular WU was turned in, how much it was worth and possibly track how much you should have? Much like shadow accounting for expenses and what not. FaHMon will tell me what is going on, but not what went on. Once it has moved on to the next WU, I don't have history.

I've had a bad week but today seems like the worst with less than 10K points accounted for so far. I also had a lot of EUEs, so that's definitely part of the problem.

The available monitors don't actually track the number of WUs and how many points you should accrue. The best they accomplish is calculate a rough accumulative PPD value for WUs your machines are currently processing.

The problem is my lappy and my P4. My P4 keeps getting different sized WU units and I can't tell from one day to the next what it should have. I "think" it has a stable PpD, but again, I don't have history for that box so I can't really tell.

My lappy has been stuck on chewy WU so it goes back and forth between 1400 and 1100 PpD.

I guess I could keep a spreadsheet of all of the WU my boxen chug thru. That is simple right now as I only have a Q6600 | T7500 | P4. When I get my other boxen, that will be a TOTAL PITA. I wish I could program (like in my old days) and then I would write something that could do it for me, but I haven't done any programming in over a decade.

 
Personnally, I didn't bother doing bookkeeping of all the WU I crunched since there is just too much with between 10-25 boxens total. I just look at FahMon and peek at older history to make sure everything is ok. When a WU is uploaded, it's out of my control but I trust Stanford to register and credit. So far, it's ok :)
