I have a hub that I need to connect to another hub. Neither have uplink ports. Can I connect them using a regular straight ethernet cable , or is there a way to just connect the two using a crossover cable? Thanks!

Some hubs have an auto check that will let a port switch to an upload port. If the hubs don't have that(only one needs it) then use a crossover cable.

You sure that switch has an uplink port? Cause according to D-Link's website, it doesn't cause all ports support Auto MDI/MDI-X negotiation.

So that being said, it doesn't matter what kind of ethernet cable you use.

actually, you might be right. I dont remember it having ports either way. Ill check the actual unit tomorrow and let yall know. Thanks
