Adding a pump

Hi,
Is it possible to add another pump such as the DDC+ or MCP655 into a low flow loop ? I got a storm block around and I know it's a high flow block, so I was just wondering if adding another pump would help it?

Possible, but you need to do some tubing trickery. You'll need 1/4" ID whatever ID adaptors to set up the pump. I'd try and track down a vendor who sells Eldon James nylon/polypropolene adaptors (check out usplastics.com) - they're pretty durable and damn near leak-proof, so you shouldn't necessarily need to use hose clamps.

The Storm actually does fairly well at low flowrates, but like any block, and any loop, high flowrates result in better dissipation.

I'd get the DDC+ with the AlphaCool or Radiical top (which they now sell in Delrin/acetal) and use Eldon James glass filled nylon hose adaptors. Probably the best combination of flowrate, head, inline heat dump and noise you can get at the moment. You can get free samples of whatever you want from Eldon James if you can get them shipped to a business, and you'll get some nice catalogs!

EDIT: Should be noted that I don't factor cost when talking about anything, so this isn't a great route on a budget.

I'm most likely going to get the Alphacool DDC+ Pro and drill the inlet so it's abit bigger.
Should I get the Ultra version instead or would the Pro do fine in adding some flow to it?

Sure, you could do that. There won't be a substancial difference between the Pro and the Ultra. In fact, I think the "Ultra" is a little sloppy - not a great heat dump/flow trade-off, but without a doubt a little bit better.
