I have a 2003 SBS Server that is the PDC and has all 5 FSMO roles. It is also the Global Catalog.
I have a 2000 server that is a Domain Controller as well.

I'm wanting to add a new 2003 Standard server as a Domain Controller. Is this possible?

This is what I get when I run dcpromo:

I've run adprep /forestprep
and
adprep /domainprep /gprep

but I still get the same error message.

Did you run Adprep from the SBS server using the adprep version on the R2 CD?

If not then insert the R2 CD into your SBS server, navigate to the location of adprep and rerun forestprep and domainprep switches.

I was running adprep off of Disc one of the 2003 Standard Server R2, but MS to use Disc 2. WTF?

*trying adprep using Disc 2 now*

Gets people all the time. :p

Disc 1 of Server 2003 R2 is the same as regular Server 2003, the difference is the R2 CD which makes the necessary modifications and adds R2 functionality.

It would have been nice if they told me that before hand.

It worked after running adprep off teh second disc.
