I have a CDRW-DVD combo drive that was pulled from an IBM think pad. I am thinking about using in a low profile case that I plan to build, however I am unable to find an adapter for this drive. I have googled for an adaptor, but the ones I have found do not appear to be a correct fit. If anyone has an idea please let me know.

The one in the link is the same as the one I found when I was googling. The connector looks the same but it is about 2 1/4 inches long.

There should be 2 screws on the back of the drive assembly, remove them. Remove the Thinkpad adapter from the drive by pulling on the rear of the drive assembly. Once the Thinkpad adapter/caddy is removed, you should be left with a drive with connector that adapter needs.
