HI dudes i have some seriuos PC challenges down here in New Zealand and i need your help and advice

I am building a research flight simulator for my flight school ( who gave me a bundle of cash )
So i went ape and bought a PC with TWO Radeon 5970 cards , SLI motherboard crtossfire to run MIcrosoft FSX ( 3 screens for visuals ) and two screens for instrument
displays
With eyefinity i could merge the three visual displays on my three 37 inch LG TV/LCD's ( only have HDMI inputs)
THEN i hear about the display port debacle and was cursing loudly.
( note 5970 has two DVI and one mini display port )
I have got two displays working off the DVI ports and I thought i was saved when i found a supplier that had a mini dp to HDMI adapters ( passive ) for about $30 NZ. However no one can tell ,me if they will work on my 5970 card , i suspect they wont? becasue its passive but does HDMI handle better than DVI

So it looks like i will have to buy the following adapters to get the mini display port to work in eyefinity

1. a mini dp to displayport adapter
2, a saphhire active displayport adapter to DVI ( these could cost $300 in NZ but none avaialble till end of MAY )
3. a DVI to HDMI adapter
4. HDMI cable

Does anybody ahve doubts about this setup cos otherwise i might have to replace a whole monitor to oen that has a displayport input which coudl cosrt a nother $2000

By the way two 5790 cards that are sli:d together have given me no boost in power whatsoever

apple makes an active mini display port to dvi adapter. Match that with a dvi to hdmi cable and you should be all set. I assume apple has mac stores all over the world? They run about $100 in the US

I have been having a nightmare getting my displayport working on my 5970 so hopefully you have better luck than i am. Im using a dell bizlink active adapter with a mini displayport to display port adapter that came with my 5970.
