I just recently bought this monitor and while it looks fantastic at the native 1080p resolution over dvi (anything under looks like it may as well be 800x600 for some reason), my PS3 over HDMI looks very blurry in game, but it looks fine at the PS3 menu where I assume it is rendering at 1080p. Is this PS3 issue normal or is it something I can fix?

Before I had a Samsung HDTV I used as a monitor for a while and the PS3 looked fine on that, the picture was rather sharp and what not. It might just be that HDTVs have better scaling or something, but I am hoping this is something I can fix on this Acer.

My Xbox 360 was like that until I went into the xbox display settings and changed the reference levels, same monitor.

Don't know what reference levels are, but it worked for me!

Also if you don't mind me asking, how is the backlight bleed on your monitor? On a pure black background can you see a good amount?

The backlight bleed is pretty bad but I've heard that is just common place with this monitor.

Does anyone know where these reference settings are for the PS3 and what I should set them to?

Turn down the brightess to about 35-50%, many monitors have some degree of backlight bleed when set to 70%+ brightness

Yeah I've had the brightness at 35 for a while now and the backlight bleed isn't as noticable but it is still around 80 percent of the screen to varying degrees but I'm not sure if it is bad enough in terms of how bright the bleed is to get a replacement.
