I have a 30 gb partition acting as an osshare (hence the name) between windows and gentoo. Its fat32, and well, I mistakenly misused tab-completion and osshare was selected on accident.

Im in gentoo right now, and am as far from mounting that partition as possible, are there any tools that can be used to recover the info? Most of it is digital pictures and home movies that Id really like to have back :(

I can still boot into windows, but if there is a linux equivalent I would prefer that.

if you can live with using windows
there are hundreds of undelete programs
and a bunch that can just undo the formating strait out
ontrak easy recovery professional is my favorete
