Just need a quick question answered. this is my first build, and I wanted to know if I should plug in the HD AUDIO or the AC'97 plug for my audio that would run through the ports built onto the case. are there any special requirements for HD AUDIO?

Depends on the motherboard really. Most new boards do HD.
