AC Freezer 64 Pro - cpu block too small?

Has anyone else out there noticed that the cpu block on the Freezer 64 Pro is to small? Even worse is that on my motherboard, the A8N32-SLI, the block doesnt even cover the whole cpu shim! It's almost impossible to get a pic of what I'm talking about so I made a quick diagram in mspaint, lol.

As you can see from this "highly technical" side view, the cpu block hardly covers the whole chip AND isnt even centered on the X2's heat shim. Is this just a fluke? Did I receive a defective unit or is yours like this too?

That's not the chip. The chip is a tiny little black thing centered inside that 1"x1" heat spreader. SO... the heatsink need not cover that whole thing to cool properly. Do no fret and let not your heart be troubled. The AC 64 Pro is an excellent cooler. ;)

I don't know about the off-center thing, though...

I know... but it worries me that the HSF only covers part of that shim. I would at least feel better if it was centered, lol. I just wanted to see if anyone else out there could verify what I was seeing.

From what I remember on mine, it is off center also. No big deal. I am sure it is enough to cover the spot directly over the core.

its fine, as long as its over the cores themselves, there's no need to worry.

Mines centered, but no it doesnt cover every bit of the HS, its not supposed to.

Your's is centered on the Asrock board? Damn... well, most of the shim is covered by the copper block. The center of the shim is definitely covered. Just wanted to see what other people were seeing. Thanks.
