abnormal REST problems

This is the first time I've even encounterd such probelms and i have no idea why the FUC$ ist happening...

My computer Resets Abnormally? Sometimes when im working in windows it just RESETS and when the computer is restarting and windows loads it resets again after i log in?

What vould be causing this?

I've RE-installed Windows, but get the same problem?

anyone with the same problem?

Chk my Sig for my PC specs......
 
Check the voltages from the power supply with a multimeter and look for fluctuations, or voltages that are greater than 5% -/+ what the rail is supposed to be. Run Memtest86 and do a few passes on the RAM. Bad power and faulty RAM are two big, and easy to test, hardware causes of reboots. If those test OK then it could be a faulty mobo, CPU, video card, any number of things that just require trial and error to eliminate.

I have nothing to add... I'd start off with testing the memory...
 
Ok heres what i did:

I did a Memtest , and after extensive testing it passed my memory
(I have CORSAIR XTREME PC 400 DDR)

BUT windows always points the error caused by a DEVICE DRIVER
and it located it to be the Graphics driver, BUT i dont agree with that
as i replaced my PCI graphics card with a new AGP ATI RADEON 9800 XT All In wonder.

I dont think my Motherboard is faulty....The only thing that comes to my mind is
the POWER SUPPLY. I have a ChannelWell 420W Power supply.

My setup is as follows:

2.8C Pentium
Abit IC-7 Motherboard
1 GB ddr 400
2 HDD Raptor and WDD 200GB
ATI RADEON 9600 XT
Lan Card
Creative Sound Card...

Any comments?

Yups i installed the Latest drivers...

That did not help....
 
...tried the generic VGA driver that came with Windows...?? Yes, it will suck in terms of performance / image quality, but it's a decent diagnostic tool.

I just RE-insatelled windows and Everything was working fine

THEN

When i updated to Windows XP Service PACK1a I started to get the ERROR MESSAGE
Cause by a Device Driver.... But the computer has not Reset yet...

What could be the problem? Could it be the AGP port is messed up Or there is something wrong with the USB ports?
