Anybody know of a site where I can find info about testing and such? I can't find anything.

I'm looking into that as a summer project as well, does anyone know about how much time it takes to go through the material> I've got prettty good [H]ardware knowledge, but weaker on OS and stuff like that.

It takes sometime.. it took me about 5 weeks of studying for both hardware and software exams... but then again it varies from person to person.

personally the software part is the problem

I'm thinking the same case for me, I don't know all the crap about Windows 2000....

took me about 2 weeks to go through the book and then take the test. The software is harder without having a box in front of you too figure where certain stuff is located. like in win98 how do you get to the control panel, blah, blah, blah

The thing that catches most people off-guard is printers. Study printers before you take it...

Also, I think there's a sticky in either Operating Systems or Networking about testing...
