My bro is the Lego nut but to be honest they lend themselves well to building comps. This was built before the Apple mini and to be honest I like mine better as its upgradeable.

The first version used onboard graphics and no fans. (very quiet) I had a extra PCI 6200 Video card so I expanded the case a inch to add it.

Than I bought a pile of the AC cooling fans and thought I could put one in the top.

The wheels were from a time when I wanted to motorize it (but took up too much space)

The Power and HDD LEDs are in clear legos in the front.

The specs are
VIA PD 1000 mhz mobo with a SilenX 40mm fan
512 DDR 400 mem
30 GIG Laptop HDD
DVD combo drive
200 watt PS
Nvidia 6200 w/Vantec Iceberg4 cooler

its no gamer but it sure gets a lot of attention when people see it.

the cool thing is they are easy to modify(drill holes in), if you make a mistake just replace the Lego and start over, lol
 
a friend i once knew long ago built a computer from legos , this included the outer shell of the monitor as well . was very unique

how does the computer fair in every day tasks, such as watching a dvd or going on the internet? I've always wondered adout the power of the VIA processors compaired to those econo line PC's from Dell.

It works very nice actually. Since i put the video card its even better. Now its not gonna play Oblivion at max...
This is a older ver (I have had it a couple of years)This year the new mobos will have AM2, DDR2 and 6150 graphics.

You can but a Pent4 version now. I have been very pleased with my little VIA mobo.
