A thouhgt...

would be pretty cool.. do a monthly thing like the hard dc'er award.. have people post then do a vote and see who wins or something.. allow people to show off their rigs and maybe give others idea's on what they could do with their next build or current rig..

ya.....help others....;) that was the ideal all allong  .... that is a good way to enhanace it..

i'm not talking a custom title or anything, just friendly competition

Uhmm, what would be the criteria? It should not be only PPD output, or SR-2 will be the only ones on show ;-)

What I am asking I guess, is what makes a Boxen "cool"?

Cable management, so fuxxing hard now a days

purely based on looks :)

D or length here would mean nothing....

a nice side bonus- makes you clean your system and get it dust free :)

I love the idea

originality, performance, sexiness, k factor, how many fans, ease-of-use, how many plastic skulls, cable management, how many red leds.

Hows this idea: No criteria other than presentation.

The post contains:

"My boxen is the coolest because ... "
Picture

That way they get judged on the coolness in the eyes of the owner.

What do u think?

sounds good......i guess ill make a thread....for entry, and then say last weekend you send in pic links to me and ill make a poll for October

gives you till the end of october to get your system nice and clean ;)

404 its a good idea, but it would be people voting, not like a panel of people doing voting....anyone who is interested......a generic [H]orde System of teh Month you may say....

I like it..Let's limit the number of pictures to 3, so you gotta get creative and showcase it the best you can....Also, I think a single sentence or two would be nice summarizing if you have something awesome like say 4.5Ghz o/c or RAID 5 SSDs etc...

I choose to enter, not on silly things like PPD, or fastest rig in the [H]orde, but on what I have done to further the art and science of cable management, and case design.

Behold the functional beauty:

MIBW, wait for me to open a thread for entry ;) this is just the panning thing.....ill get the real one up soon

I like the power switch going through the pole. Oh the wall wart power supply that committed suicide and is hanging by its cord! In all seriousness my desk often looks worse than that. Right now it isn't to bad as I still have enough room for my ratpad.

I like a solution I saw here a couple of weeks ago from I believe Kendrak with the feet for his mainboard to elevate it and let at least a little air flow under it. Some mainboards get toasty on the bottom.

I do like MIBW's shelves much easier to assemble than the crappy ones I have.

Make no mistake I am jealous as hell of that system!!!!!
