I dunno if this is true, thats why i'm asking, but i've heard a couple people say that Intel is about to go bankrupt, i highly doubt that this is true due the press releases i've read, but i just figured i'd check.
 
I figured, i was reading press releases on CNET about their plans in 2005-06, so i really doubted it was true

Intel has about $14 billion in cash on hand and generated over $7 billion in profits in the last fiscal year.

Yep...that will happen about the same time Bill Gates open sorces all his microshaft OS's.
 
Despite their flagging performance lately, Intel is anything but bankrupt, since they still own about 83% of the microprocessor market, and apparently they had a net income of $1.8 billion from this latest quarter.

Intel is very, very deep pocketed. While it is not impossible for big corporations to go bankrupt, Intel, at least from what they've reported, is far from chapter 11.
 
8.5 Billion in revenue last quarter leads me to believe that the rumor is unfounded. :p
