A question for eyefinity users

Why is it that my lcd's osd always reports its receiving an input @ the screen's native res, even if I choose different eyefinity resolutions? For example, I'm running 1x 2405fpw (1920x1200) & 2x u2311 (1920x1080). No matter which eyefinity resolution I choose: 5760x1080, 4800x900 or 2400x600, my screens always report they are receiving an input at the screens native res (1080p for the u2311s & 1920x1200 for the 2405fpw). Because of this, I am unable to use my 2405fpws internal scaler to run 1080p with black bars top/bottom (to get the image to lineup with my u2311s). The 2405fpw seems to be receiving a 1920x1200 input, so the internal scaler is disabled. Thanks!
